Trigger phrases, plaque and bleeding scores, BPE and BEWE.
What are trigger phrases?
A trigger phrase attaches a standard block of notes to something you say. Say the phrase during the appointment and the block populates automatically.
The classic example is fluoride varnish:
- 1Create a trigger phrase: "fluoride varnish applied".
- 2Attach your normal fluoride notes to it.
- 3Say the phrase during the appointment. The notes populate.
Alternatively, just dictate it at the end of the appointment when you apply it.
How do I record plaque and bleeding scores?
Say the numbers out loud, for example "bleeding score 16 out of 24, plaque 12 out of 36", and the percentages are calculated into the notes for you, using the SDCEP modified calculator.
Where do I enter BPE and BEWE?
Both have a dedicated side panel on the note page.
