Your conversation is transformed into fully structured, GDC-compliant clinical notes. Each note is organised into clearly defined sections — presenting complaint, history of presenting complaint, medical history, clinical findings, BPE scores, diagnosis, treatment plan, and more. Notes are ready to copy into your practice management system or export as needed.
Template Library
Choose from built-in templates for Adult Examinations, Child Examinations, Emergency Appointments, and Flexible consultations — or create your own custom templates in the template builder. Smart Field Analysis
Every generated note includes inline AI reasoning for each clinical field. The system analyses cross-field consistency — for example, ensuring BPE scores align with periodontal diagnosis and risk tier assessments. Fields where the AI has made a clinical inference are highlighted with confidence indicators, so you can quickly review and verify the logic behind each entry.
Task Extraction
After generating your clinical notes, OpenDentist automatically identifies and extracts follow-up tasks from the consultation. Whether it is a referral to a specialist, a prescription to write, a lab request, or a recall appointment to schedule, tasks are listed clearly so nothing falls through the cracks. Manage them from your dashboard or mark them complete as you go.
Team Management
Invite multiple clinicians to your practice account. Each team member gets their own login, personal templates, and notes history. Share templates across the team so everyone follows the same documentation standards. Practice owners can manage team members and monitor usage from a central dashboard, making it easy to maintain consistency across your practice.
Audio Storage
Consultation recordings are stored securely in encrypted AWS S3 storage in the UK (eu-west-2 region). Replay any previous recording directly from the note page. If your practice policy requires it, you can opt out of audio storage entirely in your settings — audio will be streamed for transcription only and never persisted. You stay in full control of your data.
